Real Heroes of Mexico

August 30, 2012 – Today, The MEXICO Report announced its ‘2012 Real Heroes of Mexico’ completed project showcasing more than 45 profiles of Mexicans, Americans and Canadians who were nominated by the general public along with nine ambassadors. The book is available free online or for purchase in print version.

The purpose of the ‘Real Heroes of Mexico’ project is to recognize the goodwill efforts and positive, inspirational stories taking place in Mexico today. From delivering babies, rescuing animals, feeding the hungry, battling negative press,  this one-of-a-kind effort showcases their acts of kindness, their achievements and dedication and takes it to a new level.

“These entries were so special, so full of humanity, I spent the last few months creating this book as a memento in order to celebrate each hero and their service,” said creator of the project, Susie Albin-Najera. “We see everyday people in Mexico, doing positive things in the community, in business, in the environment, in their homes and in non-profits who donate their time and go above and beyond, and most go unrecognized. This platform allows for others to learn about and celebrate their amazing efforts.”

The nominations came in from all throughout Mexico, from Tijuana to Juarez, Guadalajara to San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca to Chiapas and everywhere in between.  Nominations also came in from the U.S. and Canada, connecting countries and communities alike.

Because the project has been so well received, there have already been requests for submission for 2013. The MEXICO Report has plans for annual versions of this endeavor with the next set of nominations scheduled to begin again this February, 2013.

The MEXICO Report congratulates and salutes the 2012 Real Heroes of Mexico!

About the Real Heroes of Mexico

Creator/editor of The MEXICO Report, Susie Albin-Najera launched the ‘Real Heroes of Mexico‘ in January 2012 as a way to showcase the true champions of Mexico, the unsung heroes in the community and those celebrating Mexican culture through their goodwill efforts and hard work.  In line with The MEXICO Report’s mission to showcase the good news about Mexico, we believe goodwill efforts taking place in Mexico and those who are making a difference.

We see everyday people in Mexico, doing amazing things in the community, in business, in the environment, in their homes, in non-profits and all around who go above and beyond, and most go unrecognized. Our goal is to recognize and showcase their efforts, their bravery, their kindness, their achievements, their positive, inspirational stories and share them with the world!

Meet our 2012 Ambassadors, our awesome core nominating team who have their eye on Mexico, those who are also eager to join in on this mission to nominate heroes in Mexico; those who are also passionate about identifying and showcasing the good in Mexico. If you would like to join our list of 2013 ambassadors, please email themexicoreport at yahoo.com.
